FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Coaching is more of HERE and NOW, whereas, in therapy, the past is also majorly explored. Here the Coach won’t be giving you advice but will invite you to carry out assignments (homework!) to get to the solution.   NOTE: Coaching is not helpful if there is evidence of current mental illness. In such case, we would advise you to seek medical help. Coaching can then be a better adjunct after medical treatment has been commenced.
Most people know what to do to be healthy, but they don’t (or can’t) do it. While most doctors don’t have the time to explore that, Health Coaches do. Health coaches  support clients in achieving their health goals through lifestyle and behavior modifications.
The simple answer is NO. But you will be guided in getting to know how to eat healthily. As we are looking for long-term healthy lifestyle changes, we will mainly concentrate on healthy eating on whole. Neither counting calories, nor stringent diets.
  1. The Health Coach’s credentials. Their education, training, certifications and experience in the field are essential.
  2. Rapport. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your health coach. Without a good rapport and trust, the coaching sessions will become unproductive.
So definitely look for these when we have our Intro Session.
